About Me and This Blog

I'm Steve Suhr.  The lead developer at SpyFu.com.  Since 2006 I've been working here, honing my skills at a wide array of technologies.  This usually means Googling a hundred questions a day, and most of the time finding my answer very quickly via a blog or forum post.  But in those cases where I struggle to find my answer, I feel like I need to contribute back to the online community that helps me through my day by posting my own findings.

Ok, maybe that is a little too noble of a spin on why this blog exists.  A big part of it is also getting to express my own observations and frustrations.  Plus, I thought this would be a nice experiment at content generation.  I mean ... content is value right?  It would be pretty silly for me to make money producing content for a blog such as this.  But people make money for silly reasons all the time on the internet.

About the Name

I prefer my coffee black and between room temperature and cold.  Even at my office with the nuclear powered espresso machine, I'm too lazy to froth milk or anything like that.  Plus my tongue is very sensitive to hot.  Are you still reading?  HA!  You'll never have those moments of your life back.  I dare you to find a more useless bit of information to read today.

Anyways, I associate cold black coffee with the many days and nights I've spent bleary eyed trying to solve the technical hurdles I encounter.  It has been my observation that caffeine is an addiction that most computer programmers embrace with an odd sort of pride.  And this blog is for them.
